Netarts Emergency Response Volunteers (NERV)
The Netarts Emergency Response Volunteers (NERV) group has been awarded grants from three different organizations in 2026. All grants will help the Netarts community prepare for emergency situations that impact both residents and visitors. A brief description of each grant is outlined below.
1. Resilience Hub grant from the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) Office of Resilience and Emergency Management (OREM). The State of Oregon is creating Resilience Hubs - locations where people come together to share resources, support one another, and find resources during emergencies.
Netarts is a Resilience Hub and this grant provides a stocked Type 5 20’ Conex box to be placed at one of the community evacuation shelter. Click here for the complete list of supplies included in the Type 5 box.
2. Facilities Grant from the Tillamook Coast Visitors Association. The $35,000 grant will be used to purchase Conex boxes to be located at designated shelter locations. In alignment with NERV’S goals, one of the Conex boxes will be designated as a visitor emergency supply center.
3. Community Support Grant grant from the Tillamook PUD.
Grants are given to local not-for-profit organizations with projects that promote economic growth and community livability in Tillamook County. The $2,000 grant will enable NERV to purchase a Jackery portable power station for use in emergency situations.
