These are before and after photographs of Phase One.

Phase One (completed in August, 2025) included:

• Resealing the existing courts.
• Replacing the perimeter fencing.
• Installing new basketball hoops.
• Painting and restriping the courts to allow for basketball, pickleball, and tennis.

Netarts Community Park

Improvements to the park are the result of the passion and commitment of Friends of Netarts Park. In 2024, the group worked with several Tillamook County organizations and contractors to launch the first phase of new improvements.

The group has been active for decades, with Tim and Lori Carpenter serving as long-time mainstays. Dusty Trost and Paige Stahle are also members. In early 2024, Jay Easton (now no longer with the group) joined and played a key role in helping launch the most recent phase of improvements.

Rachel Haggerty from Tillamook County was an early champion of the project and served as a key liaison with the County. She helped guide the group through the process and encouraged them to seek funding support from Tillamook County's Transient Lodging Taxes. Director of Tillamook County Parks Dan Keyes was also instrumental in making the project happen. Neal Lemery (formerly with Tillamook County Parks Foundation) played a critical role by helping bring the Friends of Netarts Park group under the Tillamook County Parks Foundation umbrella, allowing the group to receive and hold donations without having to form a separate 501(c)(3).

Additional funding came from existing park funds and private donations. This project was truly a coming together of public and private entities.
