The Netarts Emergency Response Volunteers (NERV) group formed in March 2025 following a series of Community Talks hosted by the Tillamook Coast Visitors Association. NERV's goal is to help Netarts residents become their own first responder in an emergency because, once a disaster strikes, the time to prepare has passed. We all benefit knowing that, as individuals and a community, we're prepared to turn a disaster into a manageable event.

Creating a Culture of Emergency Preparedness
NERV is fortunate to have support and guidance from Chief Jeff McBrayer of the Netarts-Oceanside Fire Protection District and the Netarts Oceanside Volunteer Firefighters Association. Under Chief's direction, NERV will provide full and part-time Netarts residents the education, training, and practices that enable them to take care of themselves and support their neighbors during an emergency.
